Volunteer

Hope For Charlotte has lots of activities and partners who are looking for volunteers in different parts of Charlotte doing exciting things. Here is a brief list of current volunteer opportunities:


Jobs For Life: We are currently looking for mentors in our Jobs For Life program that helps individuals understand their God given gifts and help find employment that will meet their and their families needs. We meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings form 7:00-9:00pm at the Great Aunt Stella center on Trade St. For more information contact Scott Harris at msharris@carolina.rr.com or call 704-560-9345.

Belmont Home Repair: Hope For Charlotte has a housing repair ministry to helps fix up homes for folks who are unable or not knowledgeable enough to do so. We have individuals, families, and community groups participate. We usually have a home repair day once a quarter on Saturdays. Faith Hope and Love: Faith, Hope and Love is an after school mentoring program that seeks to helps kids in need in basic math, english, and vocabulary skills. The goal is to keep these children on pace with their peers to continue in their education. FHL also has a discipleship part to their program that shows kids their unique place in God’s kingdom. We are are looking to provide mentors that would commit to one night a week for one hour from 5:00-6:00pm. NoDa School of Arts: NoDa School of Arts seeks to provide affordable arts programing to under-served youth in Charlotte. They have a six week summer program where kids learn dance, drama, art, and singing that culminates with a summer musical performance.
